Water Slides with Structural Cracking

Posted Tuesday, June 11, 2024

Ride Inspectors in the USA have recently identified structural cracking in the aluminum couplings of two different water slides. The poles and couplings, wrapped in foam-covered plastic material, are believed to be contributing to the issue, according to engineers who examined the design. Both waterslide structures, in operation for 10-12 years, were manufactured by different companies, both of which are now defunct.

If your facility has similar waterslide structures, it is crucial to conduct a thorough inspection of the couplings promptly. Stay informed and ensure the safety of your visitors.
